"It’s thrilling to see a piece of this complexity and size"
"The scale is amazing! Fearless!!"
"Amazing, unique, unexpected, spectacular!"
"It's like punk rock Frank Ghery"
"This is astounding work!"
"Daniela purposefully engaged simplistic and barbarian brutalist ceramic pieces she often discarded confronting the supremacy of the object while creating in a fury. She made ceramic interlocking pieces with a looseness and a levity and yet also many levels of meaning in the markings and letterings. Her mark makings, at times Twombly like are, are often shrouded in white...memory...thinking back with time's glow. She gains line and coloration from glaze collecting in the hacked out marks. Ms. Soberman has moved to interlocking styrofoam and other materials and scaled up to 8', indeed many of her works read well as maquettes for larger pieces and yet are beautiful in their own scale."
